About Us Engineering Africa was established in Cape Town in 2000 as a general engineering concern. The business
drew on the experience and knowledge of three diverse industries (Diamond Mining, Ship Building& General Engineering) to launch operations, with a legacy of many large scale industrial and commercial
projects successfully completed between the three. Beginning in the ship repair industry in 2000, the company soon expanded its fabrication capabilities and
competencies to complete work for the mining industry in Namibia, before expanding further to support
the oil and gas sector in West Africa through the servicing of rig support vessels in the area. We are proud
to have been the first black empowerment company to build a vessel, the 120-ton pilot boat called The
Tsitsikama, for Portnet in 2004. In 2017 Engineering Africa restructured and continued to grow its resources and capability, fabricating and installing piping, stainless steel vessels and structural steel for many sectors. In 2016, we opened a fully-fledged fabrication facility in Gauteng. The company’s passion for service excellence and a hands-on approach to client requirements led to quick growth, and success soon followed. The trust that has been built via our excellent work has produced a steady flow of business, and as we continue to expand, we ensure that the client remains our priority.
