Our Journey
The moments that made us who we are
Founded in Cape Town in 2000, Engineering Africa is built on decades of expertise across diamond mining, shipbuilding, and general engineering. From early ship repair work, we expanded into mining fabrication in Namibia and later into the West African oil and gas sector, servicing rig support vessels.
In 2004, we reached a major milestone as the first black empowerment company to build a vessel, delivering the 120-ton pilot boat Tsitsikama for Portnet. Continued growth led to a strategic restructure and the establishment of a fully equipped fabrication facility in Gauteng, strengthening our specialization in piping, stainless steel vessels, and structural steel.

We fully support the B-BBEE Amendment Act (No 46 of 2013) and the associated Codes of Good Practice (2007), and we ensure that our company policies reflect these principles.
